Farah Khan's Shanti Om Shanti Are Here!
Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan gave birth to two bonny girls and one baby boy late Sunday night at Mumbai’s Jaslok hospital.
Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder and her brother Sajid Khan were beside her at the time of the delivery. Sajid Khan told Zee News that both Farah and the babies were in the pink of health and doing well.
The ace director’s close friends which include Shahrukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala are expected to arrive at the hospital soon.
Earlier last month, producer-director Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan`s wife Gauri Khan had organized a baby shower for Farah with a lavish function held at SRK`s palatial Bandra bungalow `Mannat` in Mumbai. The function was attended by stars like Rani Mukherjee, Priyanka Chopra, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu and wives of Farhan Akhtar, Suneil Shetty, Atul Agnihotri and many others.
Hope these bundles of joy will multiply Farah’s happiness!

Farah's baby shower at Shah Rukh's 'Mannat'?
At a lavish function held at SRK's palatial Bandra bungalow 'Mannat' in Mumbai, the atmosphere was like a huge song and dance production, straight out of one of Karan's multi-starrers! The real life cast included stars like Rani Mukherjee, Priyanka Chopra, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu and wives of Farhan Akhtar, Suneil Shetty, Atul Agnihotri and many others.
Needless to mention that King Khan played a gracious host, along with wife Gauri Khan and close friend Karan Johar. There are also unconfirmed reports of a live 'Shava Shava' starring most of the guests! Farah Khan was showered with gifts and blessings by all the guests who had a whale of a time.
Just for those who are not conversant with the foreign custom of baby shower, it is roughly equivalent to the traditional Indian 'godh bharai' ceremony which is held by the family and friends for the expected mother, during the late stages of pregnancy.

Gauri Khan and Karan Johar are hosting a baby shower for Farah Khan
The story goes that Shah Rukh, Gauri and Karan have been collecting books on motherhood, baby names and designer maternity clothes for a much-pregnant Farah from all over the world.
It was recently that they decided to organise a baby shower to congratulate Farah and mark the arrival of her triplets next month. Karan says, “Yes we are having a baby shower for Farah but it's too personal to talk about it.”
Although there is no particular theme for the party, the hosts have planned a few games for the guests. A source says, “We are quite fond of Articulate but Shah Rukh has promised to make arrangements for some fun games like guessing the birth date and with guessing the baby food's name after tasting it with closed eyes.”
Cakes and some snacks will be served at the party. Apparently, the hosts wanted to avoid food items that the soon-to-be mother cannot eat.
Apart from close friends Kaajal Anand, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Nandita Mahatani and Mehr Jessia, the generous hosts have invited most of Bollywood's married women including Kajol and former actress Sonali Bendre. The hush-hush event will not be attended by most male actors except for Shah Rukh Khan, Farah's brother Sajid Khan, husband Shirish Kunder, scriptwriter Mushtaq Sheikh and host Karan. Sajid Khan, when contacted, says, “My mother and I are attending Farah's baby shower today.”
Baby showers are usually held in the later stages of pregnancy, mostly during the last two months. A popular tradition in the US, close friends of expectant parents organise a baby shower to celebrate the arrival of the first baby, but there are baby showers for every baby these days. Usually, a family member from either side throws a shower. There're multiple showers too, where friends and co-workers also participate in the celebrations.

Shahrukh khan and wife Gauri distribute bonus cheques to employees
Shahrukh and Gauri invited all their employees from Red Chillies Entertainment as well as their other employees like cooks, drivers etc to be present at a five star hotel. When the employees got there, they were all surprised as there was a huge celebration awaiting them. A few close friends of SRK who also work with him like Farah and others also came to thank everyone for their co-operation. Shahrukh and his wife Gauri also thanked everyone for the success of Red Chillies Ent. SRK and Gauri had personally selected the menu of food and drinks. The highlight of the party was another surprise by SRK, when he began distributing bonus cheques to each and every employee present at the event.
A source at the party said “SRK is great, he decided to share the profits made by his company with everyone rather than just enjoy it by himself. This obviously was an extremely kind gesture and everyone was very surprised.” Shahrukh Khan has personally had a wonderful year as his different role in Chak De was first widely appreciated and now recently his film Om Shanti Om which he produced and starred in was quite a hit at the box-office. Hence SRK wants to share this success with his employees without whose cooperation this success would not be possible.

SRK, Farah visit Manoj Kumar
By now its general knowledge that Manoj Kumar aka Mr. Bharat raised an objection stating that he was very deeply hurt with his portrayal in the latest blockbuster Om Shanti Om. And rumors had it that he had demanded the said scene to be deleted from the film.Needless to say that one cannot expect anything but the unexpected from the King Khan. The current status is that SRK and Farah Khan had called press conference to publicly apologize to Manoj Kumar. Meanwhile Mr. Bharat, it seems that, wanted SRK to call on him personally and lend his apology, which was not happening, all thanks to the King Khan’s choc-a-bloc schedules.
That’s when Yash ‘Mr Romance’ Chopra, himself decided to play the mediator between the two by calling Manoj Kumar on Tuesday night amidst his dinner and said that he wanted to drop by, without divulging any further details. Manoj Kumar’s joys knew no bounds when he saw SRK along with his better half, Gauri and Farah accompanying Yash Chopra! SRK soon played the ‘real-life’ Raj of DDLJ and in no time all of them were happy with the outcome of the family re-union!
In the meanwhile, Farah has gone on record to say that Manoj Kumar’s scenes won't be chopped off from Om Shanti Om.
As the dialogue from the film goes “Aakhir mein sab kuch thik hi ho jata hai…”

It’s home, shanti, home!
Kumar, who had objected to these scenes, was unrelenting when Farah and Shah Rukh Khan himself apologised to him publicly in a press conference.
He reportedly wanted SRK to call on him and bury the hatchet. This was not happening because of Shah Rukh’s hectic schedule and string of commitments. And a bitter Kumar expressed his disappointment over the entire issue in the press once again. But, peace was made.
Kumar tells the story: “Yash Chopra played the mediator. I got a call from Yash on Tuesday night at dinner time asking for my address. He said he was in the neighbourhood and wanted to drop by. He didn’t say who was with him. So when my wife opened the door, we were pleasantly surprised to to see Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan, and Farah Khan, with Yash. It felt like a family reunion. We didn’t discuss anything that was bygone. Everybody makes mistakes, but when you realise them, more than half your mistake is pardoned. I don’t hold any grudges against anyone.”
According to the actor who has waved the Indian tricolour more than any politician in the country, the conversation revolved around Shah Rukh’s parents and Kumar’s mother-in-law who were all freedom fighters.
“His father worked closely with my mother-in-law. Even Shah Rukh’s mother was known to us,” said Kumar. The Bollywood Badshah then reminded Mr Bharat (as Manoj Kumar was known) that years ago he wanted to take some pictures with him. “It never happened, though,” said Kumar. “But in the hour they spent with us, Shah Rukh and Gauri clicked pictures with us. It was nice meeting him. He touched my feet. He may be my son’s age but I have a brotherly feeling towards him.”
Some sections of the press have unkindly said that the ageing actor used the Om Shanti Om issue to gain unnecessary publicity for himself.
An aggrieved Kumar retorted, “At this age, publicity this doesn’t matter. What matters is respect from people. We have earned it. And I am glad Shah Rukh belongs to that generation which respects elders. God bless him.” He had one regret, however. “Gauri and Farah, who is pregnant, came to our house and we couldn’t give them any shagun. Never mind, just as our doors are open for Shah Rukh and Gauri, the doors of Mannat will be open to us. My wife and I can go there anytime. And we will not forget to carry the shagun .”

Mrs Khan Steps Out in Style
The scene requires Gauri to walk a red carpet for a song at the end of the movie as the credits come on. Typical of Farah, the technicians and crew members of the movie take a bow too in this number. Farah had tried earlier in vain to convince the elusive Mrs Khan to make a guest appearance in her first movie, Main Hoon Na . “But she ditched me. I think, Shah Rukh convinced her to do it this time,” said Farah.
Gauri is said to get bored very easily of the takes and several retakes while shooting.
“She has no patience, that’s why we don’t try to get her in front of the camera,” explained Farah. “However, for this shot, she just had to step out of a car and walk the red carpet waving to the crowd like a star.” According to the director, Gauri did not require to put in much effort for this scene. “She is very natural before the camera and is poised and stylish even otherwise,” said Farah. “Next time, I’ll try and get her to do an entire song!”
That Gauri is a style diva in Bollywood, is known. Men are also reported to find her hot! And she has constantly attracted the attention of ad filmmakers and movie producers who have all tried unsuccessfully to lure her onto the screen. Mira Nair was one of them.
Shah Rukh is among those who admits to Gauri being stylish and with a sense of fashion that is her very own. “Style is inherent. And Gauri has that,” he said. The Bollywood badshah and his begum have often been compared to British footballer David Beckham and his style icon wife Victoria. But Shah Rukh finds that amusing. “I thought we were the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of Bollywood,” he said smiling.
