Om and Shanti spotted in London!
The much-awaited Farah Khan flick Om Shanti Om made headlines in London as well, by becoming the first mainstream Bollywood film to be premiered at the Empire Theatre in Leicester Square.
And while there was no formal premiere in Mumbai, there was a dazzling one in London, where the stars of the film (barring director Farah Khan who couldn’t attend because of her pregnancy) interacted with their NRI fans.
Six-pack Shah Rukh Khan told the media there how he had always wanted to make “the first Indian film that the world watches.”
And even as the British press wrote off the film as one ‘where you’d rather keep your logic at home’, thousands of SRK fans braved the heavy showers and chilled gusts of wind just to catch a glimpse of King Khan at the world premiere of his film.
Indeed, no amount of diyas or lanterns could light up their Diwali as Shah Rukh did.
Needless to say, Khan was the star of the evening, but his co-stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal and Shreyas Talpade got their fair share of attention too. With Om in town, London certainly got no shanti.
