Om Shanti Om is a fantasy film and Saawariya is a social film
Censor board has been issued a ‘UA’ censor certificate (No. 111) on 30th October to Om Shanti Om and classified as a fantasy Film . The SRK starrer was cleared by the CBFC without a single cut. The movie has a running time of 2 hours and 47 minutes in 18 reels (3918 metres). The total number of prints and digital screens for OM SHANTI OM (in the first week) would be around 1500.
On the other hand Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s SAAWARIYA ,has been classified as a social film and has been issued a ‘U’ censor certificate (No. 133) on 1st November 2007. The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has asked the makers to blur the image of Ranbir Kapoor’s exposed posterior. The movie has a running time of 2 hours and 17 minutes in 18 reels (4612 metres). The total number of prints and digital screens for SAAWARIYA (in the first week) would be around 950.
