Music Comparison : Om Shanti Om and Saawariya
Om Shanti Om Music
Plus Point :-
This is what you call as the collective power of numero uno superstar, top banner, a successful director and last but definitely not the least, a composer duo which does selective but quality work. All of this ensures that ‘Om Shanti Om’ reaches the top of the charts within a week of it’s release.
Minus Point :-
A section of audience in not too pleased with ‘Dard-E-Disco’ and SRK’s new look
Saawariya Music
Plus Point :-
The title song is already the most hummed around in the weekend gone by and rendition by new find Shail Hada has only come for appreciation by one and all. Pure and gentle, Monty Sharma’s soundtrack of ‘Saawariya’ is high quality. No wonder the music has made a smashing debut in the charts.
Minus Point :-
In totality, music of ‘Saawaiya’ doesn’t cater to all segments of audiences. Those looking for sheer quality don’t have to look elsewhere but initial reactions indicate lack of mass appeal for a man on the street.
