A Night with the 'Om Shanti Om' Stars
Diwali is all about lights and crackers, and Sunday night had its fair share of Bollywood’s crackling stars!
The Andheri Sports Complex was packed to the hilt with Bollywood’s glamazons and badshahs, who had gathered along with Mumbai’s police force for the annual pre-Diwali function held for the city’s law enforcers.
The string of performances included live acts by singers Adnan Sami, Kailash Kher, Raageshwari, Kunal Ganjawala, Bappi Lahiri and Jojo, while Dia Mirza, Riya Sen, Emraan Hashmi, Arshad Warsi, Kangana Ranaut and Mona Singh also performed. The crowd cheered on and how when Shah Rukh Khan shook his toned booty, along with co-stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal and Shreyas Talpade, to songs from his upcoming blockbuster.
Meanwhile, the audience comprised names such as CM Vilasrao Deshmukh, Dr P S Pasricha, R R Patil, Yash Chopra, Rani Mukerji, new-kids-on-the-Bollywood-block Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor who sat together all evening, Aishwarya Rai, who was seated between husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan (the three were seen enjoying the evening, laughing among themselves over something that obviously pleased them), Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, Priyanka Chopra, Mallika Sherawat and Sonali Bendre.
This was one Diwali dhamaka alright!
