SRK Walks the Ramp (Updated)

Shah Rukh Khan scorched the runway on Tuesday night in a retro outfit, albeit subtle, as he strutted his frame to promote a fashion line from his latest film.

The emperor’s new clothes created as much frenzy as his sculpted abs in recent times.

Shah Rukh Khan scorched the runway on Tuesday night in a retro outfit, albeit subtle, as he strutted his frame to promote a fashion line from his latest film.

And all those hoping to soak in his new lean, mean, bronzed six-pack in the flesh, were left asking for more.

When Farah Khan shouted from the seating area, “Remove the jacket!” is when he swung it off to a thunderous applause, and when she asked him to take his shirt off, he didn’t comply. He went on to do his own thing by mimicking today’s teen swagger, with the whole hip-hop groove going on.

“Girls and boys, actually that makes me sound older, guys and babes, throughout the making of the film, I was giving advice to my co-stars Arjun Rampal and Deepika Padukone, but today, I didn’t know what to do and took tips from these supermodels. I’m getting used to this. Let’s walk again, but the Bollywood way,” said Khan whilst addressing the guests and then proceeded to do so with Farah Khan joining them in their Bollywood walk of fame.

SRK’s Rajesh Khanna act was a hoot to say the least! As 70s as it can get.

Tuesday night was on fire as stars and models walked the ramp for a retail chain’s fashion line on Shah Rukh Khan’s new film.

Farah Khan, who is expecting triplets soon, by her husband Shirish Kunder’s side, was looking radiant and bustling around her guests even as her doctor (who was also present) advised her to take it easy.

Her doc was overheard telling Reema Jain that once this party was over, she would put Farah in the hospital for three days on complete bed rest!

Gauri Khan cheered on husband Shah Rukh as he enthralled the audiences.

Arjun Rampal’s James Bond strut was fabulous and had everyone giving him the glad eye as was Shreyas Talpade’s cool walk down the ramp!

Of course, Deepika Padukone looked stunning as proud parents Prakash and Ujjala Padukone looked on.

Manish Malhotra told Kishan Kumar that his wife Tanya was looking as gorgeous as when he first met her. To which Kishan smiled and Tanya said, “You’re very kind, Manish!” Karan Johar, looking handsome as ever along with mom Hiroo, enjoyed the show thoroughly.

Model Robbie Mairh stood out with his grace and posture. Truly international.

Walking the ramp is not the easiest thing to do.” “But Shah Rukh, you can do it.” “I can do it too….” This was the refrain as Shah Rukh Khan walked the runway on Tuesday evening, as a promotional exercise for his forthcoming film, Om Shanti Om. SRK was anything but calm before the final show. Naturally, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Rampal made full use of the opportunity to mentor SRK.

Once on the ramp, sporting retro shirts with optic prints, bell-bottoms and chunky belts, the OSO stars started out with mimicking Rajesh Khanna. While Shreyas was comfortable with his '70s hairstyle, Arjun did not seem too happy with his moustache. Even before he took a bow and left the stage, our shutterbug caught him yanking off his moustache.

Shah Rukh Khan had the women drooling as he took off his jacket. He even did an impromptu jig ala Michael Jackson style, as wife Gauri Khan and her friends Maheep Kapoor, Neelam and Bhavna Pandey cheered him on. Sister Shehnaz was also seated in the front row.

Meet the parents

With Shah Rukh Khan out and about, Karan Johar cannot be far behind. KJo, who has designed Shah Rukh's clothes along with his assistant Shiraz Siddique, came with mommy Hiroo Johar. Prakash Padukone and wife came to cheer daughter Deepika too. Arjun's wife, Mehr Jessia got her parents along too.

All is well between Farah Khan and Sajid Khan. Contrary to reports about their differences, the chubby siblings stuck to each other throughout the evening. Later, when she walked the ramp, Farah was horrified by the animated moves of SRK and Shreyas lest her bump get a blow.
